Find the company and country a site is hosted in, from its IP address and the registries' public records — and see through a CDN when the site gives a hint.
What it checks
- TLS certificateAn expired or mismatched certificate turns the site into a full-page browser warning.
- Server response timeNothing can render until the first byte arrives. A slow server makes every other optimisation irrelevant.
- HTTP/2 or HTTP/3Loads many files at once over one connection. HTTP/1.1 queues them six at a time.
- TechnologyWhat the site appears to be built with, from headers and markup.
- HostingWhich company and country the site is served from, from its IP address and the registries' records.
Questions
Why does it say Cloudflare?
Cloudflare stands in front of the real server and answers for it. We look for public DNS names — mail, ftp, cpanel — that often still point at the real host, and say so when one does.
How accurate is the country?
It is where the network is registered, which is usually where the server is. Large cloud providers can register in one country and run servers in another.
Does the host affect speed?
Directly: the time to first byte is mostly the server. The tool shows it beside the host so you can see whether yours is the slow part.
We only read what a public visitor could. Nothing is submitted to your site and no vulnerability is exploited — findings are what your site shows, not what we tried.
