What it checks
- Page titleThe title is the headline of your search result and the label on the tab.
- Meta descriptionThe sentence under your search result. Without one, the engine picks a random line of the page.
- Main heading (H1)One H1 tells engines and readers what the page is about. Several tell them nothing.
- IndexableA noindex tag or a blanket robots.txt block removes the site from search results altogether.
- Canonical URLTells engines which of several addresses for the same page is the real one, so ranking is not split.
- Structured data (JSON-LD)Lets search engines show rich results — ratings, prices, breadcrumbs — instead of plain blue links.
- robots.txtThe first file a crawler reads. Missing is tolerable; an HTML error page in its place is not.
- XML sitemapTells engines every page you have, including the ones no link reaches.
- www and non-wwwIf both answer as separate sites, engines see duplicates and split the ranking between them.
- Broken linksA dead link on the home page is a dead end for visitors and a wasted crawl for engines.
- Page languageScreen readers pick a voice from the lang attribute; without it Arabic is read with English rules.
Questions
Will fixing these rank me first?
No tool can promise that. These are the technical basics that stop a site from ranking at all; content and links do the rest.
How long should a title be?
About 30 to 60 characters, saying what the page is and who it is for. Longer titles get cut off in results.
Do I need a sitemap?
For a small site with good links it is optional; for anything larger it is how search engines find every page. Most CMSs generate one for you.
